Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ households of the sons of Israel, to King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the city of David, that is, Zion.

So all the men of Israel assembled themselves before King Solomon at the feast, in the month Ethanim, that is, the seventh month.

Then all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.

4

And they brought up the ark of the Lord, the tent of meeting, and all the holy utensils which were in the tent; the priests and the Levites brought them up.

5

And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who were gathered together to him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.

6

Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the Most Holy Place, under the wings of the cherubim.

7

For the cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim made a covering over the ark and its carrying poles from above.

8

But the poles were so long that the ends of the poles could be seen from the holy place in front of the inner sanctuary, but they could not be seen outside; they are there to this day.

9

There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the sons of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

10

And it happened that when the priests came from the holy place, the cloud filled the house of the Lord,

11

so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord.

이에 솔로몬이 여호와의 언약궤를 다윗 성 곧 시온에서 메어 올리고자 하여 이스라엘 장로와 모든 지파의 우두머리 곧 이스라엘 자손의 족장들을 예루살렘에 있는 자기에게로 소집하니

이스라엘 모든 사람이 다 에다님월 곧 일곱째 달 절기에 솔로몬 왕에게 모이고

이스라엘 장로들이 다 이르매 제사장들이 궤를 메니라

Then all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.

여호와의 궤와 회막과 성막 안의 모든 거룩한 기구들을 메고 올라가되 제사장과 레위 사람이 그것들을 메고 올라가매

And they brought up the ark of the Lord, the tent of meeting, and all the holy utensils which were in the tent; the priests and the Levites brought them up.

솔로몬 왕과 그 앞에 모인 이스라엘 회중이 그와 함께 그 궤 앞에 있어 양과 소로 제사를 지냈으니 그 수가 많아 기록할 수도 없고 셀 수도 없었더라

And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel, who were gathered together to him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.

제사장들이 여호와의 언약궤를 자기의 처소로 메어 들였으니 곧 성전의 내소인 지성소 그룹들의 날개 아래라

Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the Most Holy Place, under the wings of the cherubim.

그룹들이 그 궤 처소 위에서 날개를 펴서 궤와 그 채를 덮었는데

채가 길므로 채 끝이 내소 앞 성소에서 보이나 밖에서는 보이지 아니하며 그 채는 오늘까지 그 곳에 있으며

But the poles were so long that the ends of the poles could be seen from the holy place in front of the inner sanctuary, but they could not be seen outside; they are there to this day.

그 궤 안에는 두 돌판 외에 아무것도 없으니 이것은 이스라엘 자손이 애굽 땅에서 나온 후 여호와께서 저희와 언약을 맺으실 때에 모세가 호렙에서 그 안에 넣은 것이더라

There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the sons of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

제사장이 성소에서 나올 때에 구름이 여호와의 성전에 가득하매

And it happened that when the priests came from the holy place, the cloud filled the house of the Lord,

11

제사장이 그 구름으로 말미암아 능히 서서 섬기지 못하였으니 이는 여호와의 영광이 여호와의 성전에 가득함이었더라

so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord.
